Book Review #16: A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries #1) by Elizabeth Hunter

A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries #1)
by
Elizabeth Hunter

Where to start with this one. I loved it. The sense of mystery was well paced and kept me guessing. No ominous clues that seemed hollow, it was full of good twists and events. I adored how she combined the aspects of elementals with vampires, creating a unique and awesome new creature. There was not a character I didn't like (or like to hate) even the rotund little professor who seems harmless enough. I must say that Casper was my unquestionable favorite, though. He had a nice mix of loyalty, sarcasm, and familiarity instead of just being the classic Alfred stereotype that has become so prominent. The one thing I wish was that we had more of a chance to get to know the AC and the wind SC character.

All in all this was a fun read and I look forward to the rest in the series.
