Snippet #15

Snippet #15

His past urged him to rend her tender, frail flesh with his claws. To kill her for her insolence. She stood before him, holding a scrap of cloth before her like a shield. His eyes gazed at the image, at his image. So craftily embroidered, so like him. His logical side wailed at him to stand down, to wake up. But the blood lust had him, his past was pulling the reins now. He was a monster, a creature of blood and fear. The seamstress had been a fun toy, had amused him for a time, but all play must come to an end. Her usefulness was gone.
